24/7 Answering Service & Urgent Care

In the event of an after-hours emergency, please call our office for further instruction. Watertown Animal Hospital offers a 24/7 Answering Service, that will assist and direct you. The Watertown Animal Hospital shares a rotational, on-call, After Hours Urgent Care Service with 4 other local veterinary practices. During the weeks that the Watertown Animal Hospital is on-call for Urgent Care, your questions will be fielded by a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Depending on the emergency severity, we may recommend that you go to a 24-hour Veterinary Emergency Hospital, for continuous care.

During the weeks that we are not on-call and your pet needs to be seen, you will be directed to one of the following local practices: (Animal Doctors on State St., North Country Animal Health Center on Route 3, South Jefferson Veterinary Services in Adams, NY, or Valley Veterinary Hospital in Watertown, NY). However, you may also leave a message with our 24/7 Answering Service, and Watertown Animal Hospital will contact you during normal business hours to address your concerns. Again, in dire medical emergencies that may require continuous care, you will be recommended to an emergency hospital.

Due to Covid-19, and our current case load of servicing the 4 other Practices for the After Hours Urgent Care Services, we are only able to accommodate clients that have an established Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship with one the aforementioned Practices (see above).
